Job description

Position: Physical Therapist

Location: Bethel, AK 99559

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Setting: Hospital-based Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation

Pay Range: $59.17–$76.92/hour


Compensation & Relocation Highlights

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist supports and manages hospital-based inpatient and outpatient physical therapy services while providing direct patient care as needed. The role combines clinical practice with department operations, interdisciplinary collaboration, staff development, compliance, and financial oversight.

Key responsibilities include performing skilled PT evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, supporting interdisciplinary care teams, coordinating orthopedic specialty clinics, promoting staff development, managing department operations, and maintaining compliance with applicable organizational, state, and federal requirements.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

  • Minimum 4 years of active, full-time patient care experience

  • Active Alaska Physical Therapist license in good standing

  • Current BLS/BCLS

  • Previous managerial experience preferred

  • Ability to work effectively across inpatient and outpatient settings

  • Strong communication, documentation, leadership, and computer skills

Candidates should be comfortable working in a culturally diverse healthcare environment and supporting a remote Alaska community. Some village-based services may involve travel via small, non-pressurized aircraft.
