Benefits
he Problem We Are Solving
Most personal safety and enterprise emergency apps fail when people need them most. Why? Because their interfaces are cluttered, confusing, and induce panic during high-stress situations.
WilderGo is a safety-focused mobile platform engineered specifically to minimize cognitive load and maximize trust. We use highly accessible UI patterns and intuitive flows so users can broadcast alerts or route to safety with a single gesture under extreme stress. We are tapping into a $10B+ addressable market encompassing personal B2C safety and B2B enterprise campus compliance.
Our Traction & Where You Come In
I am the Founder and Product Design Lead based in Colorado. I have already moved WilderGo from concept to an active codebase. I built the initial architecture, migrated to native iOS development via Xcode, and heavily leverage AI agentic tools to rapidly code and patch the front-end prototype. We are currently actively applying for the upcoming Y Combinator batch.
I am moving incredibly fast on the product side, but to scale this globally, I need a heavyweight Technical Co-Founder.
Compensation & Culture (How We Work)
We are building a massive company, but we believe in sustainable execution, not burnout.
Deferred Compensation: We are currently pre-funding. A full competitive salary will kick in immediately upon securing our pre-seed/seed funding (such as YC backing).
4-Day Work Week: We operate on a highly focused, 4-day work week. We measure success by code shipped and milestones hit, not by hours sitting at a desk.
Lenient Time Off: Time off is entirely flexible and autonomous. There is no strict tracking or formal approval process—just notify me so we stay aligned on sprints, and take the time you need.
The Strategic Bridge: Why We Want Someone in the Bay Area
While this role is 100% remote within the US, I am highly prioritizing candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Because I am executing from Colorado, I need a partner who can act as our strategic bridge to Silicon Valley. As my co-founder, you will not just be writing code—you will be a massive asset in localized fundraising. You will be instrumental in presenting our product to Bay Area investors, networking with VCs, and securing our backing.
What You Will Do
Own the Backend: Architect and deploy a highly secure, scalable, and lightweight backend infrastructure to support real-time data and safety routing.
Partner on Strategy: Work directly with me to fuse our front-end iOS builds with robust backend systems.
Fundraising & Networking: Act as the face of WilderGo’s engineering in the SF Bay Area. Pitch to investors, represent the tech stack, and help close funding rounds.
Scale the Team: Help lay the foundation to eventually recruit and lead our future engineering team.
Who You Are
Based in the US (SF Bay Area strongly preferred).
Deep Technical Chops: Strong background in backend engineering, database architecture, and secure cloud environments (e.g., Node.js, AWS/GCP, API integration).
Entrepreneurial DNA: You don’t want to be employee #50 at a tech giant; you want a massive equity stake and the ability to build a company from the ground up.
Communicator: You are comfortable translating complex engineering concepts to non-technical investors.
What I Bring to the Table
Deep expertise in strategic communication design, user psychology, and product systems architecture. I handle the entire UI/UX, product design, front-end prototyping, and brand strategy. I am a relentless executor who will ensure our product is beautiful, highly functional, and aggressively marketed.
