Full Stack Developer

KC Labs builds software and operational support for academic research labs. Our core product, KC Loop, is a lab management platform for principal investigators who run complex research programs with little administrative help. Academic labs operate like small companies. PIs manage budgets, personnel, protocols, compliance, publications, and grant cycles, usually with tools that were never built for them. KC Loop gives labs one system for the work that surrounds the science. As a developer here, you will design the systems that hold a lab's operations together: data models for people, projects, and funding, the APIs behind every screen, and the integrations that connect KC Loop to the tools labs already use. Your work ships to real researchers within days, not quarters. We treat security as a baseline, because labs trust us with sensitive research operations. We are a small team, so you will own meaningful parts of the platform and make architectural decisions that last. You will talk directly with the scientists who rely on your work and hear their feedback firsthand. Our team brings backgrounds in research science, software engineering, and military technical operations, and we hold a high bar for precision and clear communication. Researchers are working on hard problems, including cancer immunology and other fields where time matters. The software we build gives them more of it.
