Founding Growth Engineer

The role
Own top-of-funnel for Ambient. You'll build the acquisition machine that takes us from 50+ on the waitlist to 1,500+ paying users in six months. Third person on the team, first growth hire.

What you'll do
- Build and ship landing pages and microsites for every audience experiment.
- Run organic acquisition across founder communities (IndieHackers, MicroConf, Twitter, Reddit, SF founder rooms) with measurable funnels.
- Launch and instrument paid experiments (Meta, Google, X) once organic floors are established.
- Design viral and referral mechanics tied to Ambient's natural surfaces (the memory layer, voice replication, hackathon-style demos).
- Build the analytics stack: event instrumentation, attribution, dashboards.
- Turn launches into news. Hacker News, Product Hunt, founder Twitter, podcasts.
- Co-own the first 1,500 paying users with the founders.

You are
- A senior engineer who has run growth at a consumer or prosumer startup that crossed early traction. We don't care about brand-name shops, we care about results you personally drove.
- Strong in TypeScript, React, Next.js. You ship landing pages in hours, not days.
- Numerate. You instrument before you launch. You ship the analytics, not just the page.
- Founder-grade taste in copy and design. You know why a hero section converts.
- AI-native. You already build with LLMs in your daily workflow.

Bonus
- Have founded a product or run a build-in-public account that hit traction.
- Comfortable on camera or in writing.
- Chrome extension or desktop app distribution experience.

Logistics
- SF hybrid, 2-3 days a week at Founders Inc.
- Founding-engineer compensation: meaningful base + meaningful equity. Discussed in the first call.
- Reporting to Tugay (CEO).
