Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in a long-term care healthcare setting. This contract opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule and the chance to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Some flexibility required for assessments)
Key Responsibilities
Complete comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
Create home-based therapy programs and evaluate their effectiveness.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provide clinical recommendations.
Conduct skills-based competency training for staff as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Practice in accordance with Texas Occupational Therapy regulations and professional standards.
Follow all facility policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Active Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) License in good standing.
Current CEUs required to maintain licensure.
Good standing with the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
