Position Overview

ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking an experienced and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to provide school-based mental health services to students across Tuolumne County, California.

In this role, you will work closely with students, families, educators, school administrators, and community partners to promote mental health, social-emotional development, positive behavior, and academic success.

The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, experience working with children and adolescents, and a genuine commitment to helping students thrive in educational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling to students experiencing emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed clinical interventions.

• Develop, implement, and monitor positive behavior support and intervention plans.

• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, counselors, families, and other members of multidisciplinary teams.

• Provide parent consultations and support families in addressing student behavioral and emotional needs.

• Facilitate staff trainings, parent education sessions, and family workshops as needed.

• Coordinate with community mental health providers and other agencies to support continuity of care.

• Participate in crisis response and provide appropriate clinical support during urgent situations.

• Attend student support meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.

• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in electronic health records.

• Comply with applicable professional, ethical, legal, and organizational standards.

QualificationsRequired

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, or a related field.

• Current California license or associate registration, such as:

  • LCSW / ASW

  • LMFT / AMFT

  • LPCC / APCC

• Experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, or youth.

• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and intervention skills.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational and clinical documentation abilities.

• Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple school sites.

Preferred

• Previous experience providing school-based mental health services.

• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and Positive Behavior Support.

• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary school or youth-services team.

• Bilingual English/Spanish language skills.
