Job Summary

A Web Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining websites and web applications. The role involves working with front-end and back-end technologies to create responsive, user-friendly, secure, and high-performing digital experiences.

Web Developers collaborate with designers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements and design concepts into functional web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive websites and web applications.

• Build user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.

• Develop server-side functionality, APIs, and database integrations when required.

• Convert UI/UX designs and wireframes into functional web pages.

• Ensure websites work correctly across different browsers, devices, and screen sizes.

• Optimize websites for speed, performance, accessibility, and search engine visibility.

• Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, authentication systems, and external services.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve website bugs and technical issues.

• Maintain and update existing websites, applications, plugins, and dependencies.

• Implement security best practices to protect websites and user data.

• Use version control systems such as Git to manage source code.

• Test applications for functionality, usability, compatibility, and performance.

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and business teams throughout the development lifecycle.

• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Stay updated with modern web development technologies, frameworks, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first web design.

• Experience with front-end frameworks or libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Knowledge of back-end technologies such as Node.js, PHP, Python, Java, or similar technologies.

• Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or SQL Server.

• Understanding of REST APIs and web services.

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Knowledge of browser compatibility and web performance optimization.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Understanding of basic web security principles.
