Job description

Position Summary

Rose Law Firm is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, research, writing, and advocacy skills and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional legal service to clients.

The Associate Attorney will work closely with partners and senior attorneys on a wide range of legal matters, including litigation, transactional work, legal research, client counseling, and case strategy development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents

  • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, briefs, agreements, and other legal documents

  • Assist with litigation strategy, discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation

  • Participate in client meetings, negotiations, mediations, and court appearances

  • Manage assigned caseloads and maintain accurate case documentation

  • Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff on complex legal matters

  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding case updates and legal recommendations

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, ethical standards, and firm policies

  • Support business development and client relationship initiatives as appropriate

  • Stay current with legal developments and continuing legal education requirements

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active license and good standing with the Arkansas State Bar (or ability to obtain admission)

  • 1–5 years of legal experience preferred, though exceptional recent graduates may be considered

  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

  • Proficiency with legal research platforms and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Experience

  • Litigation and courtroom experience

  • Transactional or business law experience

  • Experience drafting contracts and legal agreements

  • Familiarity with corporate, healthcare, real estate, or commercial matters
