Applogies...This is not a CEO position.  This is a Sr lab tech position.    Microbiology Lab Technician experiance in working with fungal and bacterial specimens. This includes working with faculatative organisms.  Location will lijely be adjacent to a Cal State LA or UC Irvine based on your location

Job Title: Microbiology Research Scientist

 

Position Summary

We are a growing startup seeking a highly independent Microbiology Research Scientist to lead in vitro experimental studies and generate actionable data to support technology development. This role requires hands-on lab expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate experimental results into clear recommendations for implementation.

  Key Responsibilities

·         Independently design and conduct in vitro microbiology experiments using bacterial and fungal strains

·         Perform microbial culture, plating, and quantitative assays (e.g., CFU enumeration, viability testing)

·         Analyze experimental data and prepare clear, concise reports for the technical team

·         Interpret results and provide recommendations to guide product development and implementation

·         Optimize experimental conditions and troubleshoot protocols as needed

·         Maintain accurate laboratory records and standard operating procedures

·         Collaborate with internal teams to support research-driven decision-making

  Required Qualifications

·         B.S. or M.S. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with laboratory or research experience

·         Proven ability to independently conduct microbiology experiments

·         Strong hands-on experience with microbial culture and in vitro assays

·         Experience with quantitative data analysis and experimental design

·         Excellent communication skills, including technical reporting

  Preferred Qualifications

·         M.S. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field

·         Experience working in a research environment

·         Experience supporting product development or applied research

·         Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
