Position: Civil Engineer – Highway Construction
Location: New Kensington, PA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Salary: $155,000/year
Requirements:
✔️ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
✔️ Professional Engineer (PE) License required
✔️ 10+ years of construction industry experience
✔️ Strong heavy highway, bridge, roadway, or transportation experience
✔️ Strong structural, steel, concrete & geotechnical engineering background
✔️ Experience with temporary works, cofferdams, shoring, falsework & construction sequencing
✔️ PennDOT or Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission experience preferred
✔️ Strong knowledge of construction means, methods & field operations
✔️ Experience with STAAD, AutoCAD, MathCAD or similar tools
✔️ Engineering leadership/management experience
✔️ Preconstruction, estimating & bid review experience preferred
✔️ Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
✔️ Background check and pre-employment drug screen required
Succession Opportunity:
The selected candidate will transition with the current Chief Engineer and ultimately assume responsibility as the organization’s senior engineering authority.
