Cognistack client seeking Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join Full-time (Remote) 

  • Must be a US citizen due to government client requirements.

Location: United States Salary: $190K‑$230K + competitive equity Tech stack: AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, GKE, EKS, Airflow, BigQuery, Docker, CI/CD, Linux, CentOS, Alpine, Python, Monitoring/Alerting Tools What we're looking for:We need someone with 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering who has hands-on expertise with GCP and/or AWS, production Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform. You should have deep experience with networking, databases, and reliability engineering (SLOs/SLIs, monitoring, on-call). This is a build-phase role — we're migrating workloads onto our own Kubernetes platform, standing up new production regions, and building self-service tooling. We need someone who thrives in greenfield environments with high ownership, not someone looking to keep the lights on.

What you'll do:

  • Own core cloud infrastructure that every team at TRM builds on top of — Kubernetes, networking, databases, orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Migrate workloads onto our own Kubernetes platform and stand up new production regions (EU, government sites)

  • Build self-service tooling and increase automation across the platform

  • Define and maintain SLOs/SLIs, implement monitoring and alerting, manage runbooks, and participate in on-call rotation

  • Harden compliance (SOC2, FedRAMP) and improve cost efficiency of our cloud bill

  • Operate at real scale — hundreds of nodes, high QPS, production customer-facing systems

  • Work with product and engineering leadership to set strategy and priorities for the Infrastructure team

Seniority5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering (AWS/GCP) Work experience

  • Database provisioning and operations — managed and self-​hosted,​ ideally on Kubernetes

  • Defined SLOs/SLIs,​ built monitoring and alerting,​ maintained runbooks,​ participated in on-​call rotations

  • Generalist doing too many things (full stack + security + AI) without infra/SRE depth
