We are searching for a reliable apartment maintenance technician to oversee the day-to-day operations of our multi location portfolio. The apartment maintenance technician's responsibilities include HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills. Technician will also manage repairs and improvements to vacant apartments for a market ready status. To be successful as an apartment maintenance technician, you should demonstrate an organized, and thorough approach to your duties. Work as a team player along with the maintenance staff to ensure the community meets the quality standards set by Star Property Management LLC.
Knowledge and Experience:
Apartment Maintenance or Facilities Maintenance work
3-5 years of verifiable first-hand general maintenance experience.
Working in a fast-paced multi-family environment.
Standard to advanced building maintenance practices.
Apartment Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Prepares and completes vacant apartments to a market ready status.
Repairing and unclogging toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and exterior drains.
Responds to resident service requests in a timely manner.
Installing and repairing wires, plugs, and switches.
Performs on call emergency service as required.
Operate a variety of equipment and various hand tools.
Disposing of trash found in communal areas.
Light landscaping tasks
Adjustment of hours and/or weekend work may be required and/or occasional overtime.
Maintains open communication with Property management.
Assists other staff members as needed.
Assist with snow removal.
Completes preventative maintenance schedules
Completes HVAC repairs and installations.
Can multi-task while performing tasks in an evolving environment.
High school or equivalent
Mid-level (3-4 years)
