**About the company**

An early-stage, well-funded AI startup building a secure, agentic enterprise AI platform that captures and deploys proprietary business intelligence for Fortune 500 clients, with a strong early foothold in financial services and semiconductors. The team is small, in-person, and moving at genuine founding-stage speed, with a real shot at defining a category still being built.

**The role**

You'll own end-to-end AI deployments at large enterprise customers, sitting at the intersection of engineering, product, and business. This is a founding-level opportunity to build the company's deployment function from the ground up — you'll go deep with a customer's actual workflows and pain points, then architect real agentic solutions on the platform, not just configure a chatbot. High ownership, direct executive exposure, and real influence over how this function scales.

**What you'll do**

- Own entire enterprise customer accounts end-to-end, strategizing, deploying, and scaling AI agent systems across sectors like private equity, investment banking, insurance, tax & audit, and semiconductors

- Embed directly with enterprise customers to deeply understand their workflows and business problems, then architect agentic solutions to match

- Feed product insights from real deployments back into the core platform, directly shaping the product roadmap

- Collaborate closely with the founding engineering team and company leadership on deployment strategy and how to scale the function

- Build custom AI workflows, data integrations, and agent systems tailored to each customer, working within platform constraints while pushing what's possible

**What you must bring**

- 2–6 years of experience in forward deployed engineering, AI implementation, or applied AI roles at enterprise-facing companies

- Prior experience as an FDE, AI implementation lead, or on an applied AI team at a company known for this kind of work, or on an applied AI team within financial services

- Hands-on experience building or deploying real agentic workflows, connectors, and skills, not surface-level chatbot work

- Proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript, with experience building production APIs or data pipelines

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related technical field from a strong school

- Genuine systems thinking — the ability to rapidly learn an unfamiliar business domain and translate it into a technical solution

- Based in New York (preferred) or San Francisco, on-site required

- Willingness to travel up to 50%, especially if based in San Francisco

**Nice to have**

- Deep domain experience in financial services (private equity, investment banking, tax/audit, insurance) or semiconductors

- Prior founder or founding engineer experience (YC, Speedrun, or similar), or has built and shipped agent systems end-to-end

- A dual degree combining business and engineering

- Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and enterprise integrations

**Compensation & logistics**

- $160K–$220K base salary plus equity, based on seniority and founding-FDE designation

- On-site required — New York is the preferred location, San Francisco also available (especially for semiconductor-focused work)

- Up to 50% travel expected if based on the opposite coast from your customers

- 4 openings

- Open to visa transfers (OPT, H1B transfer)

- You're looking for a lower-ownership role with an established playbook rather than a founding-level, build-it-yourself function

- You're not willing to travel up to 50% if based away from your primary customer base
