QA Senior System Tester — Medicaid

We are seeking a senior QA/System Tester with Medicaid or large-scale healthcare-system experience to lead quality assurance activities for complex, integrated IT applications. The ideal candidate will oversee testing progress, test planning, defect management, risk-based testing, automation, and stakeholder communication through system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor test execution, test results, defects, risks, and overall QA status.

• Develop and review test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and QA documentation.

• Perform functional, non-functional, integration, regression, API, system, and UAT testing.

• Establish and improve testing standards, processes, templates, and quality criteria.

• Design risk-based testing approaches, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting.

• Support test automation strategy and development of automated test scripts.

• Use SQL and reporting tools to validate data, identify source-data needs, and support testing analysis.

• Communicate testing status, risks, defects, and recommendations to business stakeholders and executive leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of QA, software testing, and quality-management experience supporting large-scale IT systems.

• Ten (10) years of client and stakeholder-management experience, including communicating test status and defects to executive-level audiences.

• Eight (8) years of end-to-end testing experience, from system testing through UAT.

• Eight (8) years of hands-on test automation experience, including creating and maintaining automated tests.

• Five (5) or more years of SQL and data-reporting experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, business, or a related field.

• Strong experience with test planning, defect tracking, risk-based testing, API testing, and test-result reporting.
