Shipping Clerk
Location: Clifton, NJ
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $25/hour (W2)
About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk for a leading manufacturer of aluminum castings in Clifton, NJ. This position is responsible for ensuring finished products are accurately packaged, documented, and shipped on time while supporting warehouse and production operations. The ideal candidate has strong shipping and warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment and is comfortable working with ERP systems and shipping documentation.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience (manufacturing environment strongly preferred)
Experience preparing shipping documents including:
Bills of Lading (BOL)
Packing Slips
Shipping Labels
Experience using ERP systems (Epicor preferred)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Forklift experience or forklift certification
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse/manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, package, and stage finished products for shipment
Create and verify shipping documentation, including packing slips, Bills of Lading, and shipping labels
Coordinate freight pickups with carriers and logistics providers
Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality
Enter shipping data into ERP or warehouse management systems
Maintain inventory of shipping and packaging supplies
Keep shipping and warehouse areas organized and compliant with safety standards
Assist with receiving and other warehouse duties as needed
Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure on-time deliveries
