Job Summary:
A Level 2 Carpenter typically has intermediate-level skills and experience in carpentry, often with several years of practical work in the field. The specific job description may vary depending on the project type, stage of construction, and the crew they are assigned to.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Execute carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors and windows, and constructing various structures based on blueprints and project specifications.
· Work with a variety of materials such as wood, metal, and drywall to complete construction projects.
· Apply advanced carpentry techniques, such as advanced joinery, molding, and finishing work.
· Interpret and follow blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate and precise construction work.
· Take accurate measurements and make layout calculations to ensure the proper fit and alignment of structures and components.
· Proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, routers, and other carpentry tools.
· Maintain and care for tools to ensure they remain in good working condition.
· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and colleagues.
· Collaborate with other construction professionals, including contractors, architects, and project managers, to ensure project requirements are met.
· Identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, including adjustments to plans or addressing unexpected challenges.
