JOB SUMMARY:
The Meals on Wheels Program Associate is responsible for assisting the Meals on Wheels Director on the day-to-day operations of the Meals on Wheels (MOW) program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Primary Responsibilities:
Assist MOW Director in any/all aspects of MOW program.
Assist with meal distribution to drivers.
Manage monthly volunteer calendar.
Input new MOW clients into Zippy Meals system.
Answer phone.
Assist with Special Events as needed, to include weekends.
Fill in when MOW Director is unavailable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Gain proficiency in all aspects of Zippy Meals management system or an equivalent data management system.
Demonstrate a level of initiative and determination.
Possess strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, donors, and vendors.
Possess strong critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
Possess strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to assist with multiple projects dependently and concurrently.
Ability to be flexible with regards to assignments and work hours, and willingness to do whatever required or needed within physical capabilities, skills, and knowledge to effectively serve others through MOW program.
Must have a committed spirit in support of the GCM mission in being God’s grace to others.
Mental and Physical Abilities:
Ability to provide support to staff and volunteers.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift, twist, squat and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds for periods of time up to 10% of a scheduled shift.
Ability to use a computer, keyboard, and mouse for extended periods of time.
Ability to travel to various event locations and meetings.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings for special events.
Licenses and Certifications:
Active SC Driver’s License
Approved Drive Motor Vehicle Record (see Safety Handbook)
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt and the like.
There are up to 10% of responsibilities that require working outside and within our local community. This outside work involves the elements with temperature change, precipitation, varying other business environments, etc. associated with outside related community engagement.
