Job description

About GamePlan
GamePlan Sports Events is a growing portfolio of focused sports-business communities within Raccoon Media Group. Our current portfolio includes:
• MatchIndoor: Connecting the people shaping the future of indoor sports facilities, events and participation.
• BrandMatch: Bringing brands, agencies and sports properties together to explore meaningful partnership opportunities.
• Sports Venue Summit: Connecting venue operators, event organizers, destinations, hotels and specialist solution providers.
• E.L.I.T.E.: Creating a trusted peer-level environment for owners and senior executives in sport.
Each event combines purposeful meetings, relevant content, valuable relationships and memorable live experiences. Our goal is to make doing business in sport more productive, personal and enjoyable. The portfolio is ambitious and expected to grow quickly, so we need a marketing leader who can build a scalable rhythm now and help launch future brands and events with confidence.
The Opportunity
This is a hands-on leadership role for an accomplished event marketer who can own the marketing performance of GamePlan and its event brands. You will turn commercial priorities into clear audience strategies, set targets, build the annual and campaign calendars, manage the budget and make sure the right buyers, partners, exhibitors, sponsors and attendees are in the room.
You will be both the conductor and a practitioner: comfortable directing journalists, content creators, designers and specialist agencies, while also writing copy, building campaigns, solving problems and creating timely social content yourself. You will work closely with the GamePlan leadership and hosted-buyer teams in the United States, and with Raccoon Media Group colleagues in the United Kingdom.
The role also has a visible public-facing dimension. You will attend events, build relationships, interview industry leaders and become a credible, engaging on-camera personality for GamePlan—our equivalent of an on-site or sideline reporter who can bring the people and energy behind the portfolio to life.
