Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior GoLang Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend microservices and cloud-native applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Go (Golang), Python, microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, cloud platforms, and SQL/NoSQL databases.

This is a 100% onsite position in Los Angeles, CA, working closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend microservices using Go (Golang) and Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed backend systems.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Integrate backend applications with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and DynamoDB.
• Write unit tests and maintain high standards for code quality and reliability.
• Participate in and lead technical code reviews.
• Support automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and stability.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience

• 8–10 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing backend applications with Go (Golang).
• Experience working in enterprise-scale software development environments.

Technical Skills

Programming Languages

• Advanced proficiency in Go (Golang).
• Working experience with Python.

Architecture & APIs

• Strong experience with microservices architecture.
• RESTful API development.
• Cloud-native application design.
• Distributed systems.

Containers & Orchestration

• OpenShift Container Platform
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines.

Cloud & Databases

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as:

  • PostgreSQL
  • MySQL
  • MongoDB
  • DynamoDB

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of event-driven and streaming architectures.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Experience with Helm.
• Advanced Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster automation.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience.

Compensation & Contract

Pay Rate: $52.50–$56.50/hour
