**About the company**
A profitable, fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed startup building real-time data APIs that let AI agents access information the way search engines let humans search the web. The company serves a large base of enterprise customers, has grown rapidly, and is backed by top-tier venture investors. Despite already being profitable, the team is actively investing to grow further.
**The role**
You'll be the company's first dedicated GTM Engineer for its client-facing GTM division, "Whiteglove." This is a genuinely client-facing operator role: you'll build each client's go-to-market system end-to-end, using the same stack and playbook the company itself used to scale. You're not writing strategy decks that someone else executes — you're personally building, running, and being accountable for the outcome.
**What you'll do**
- Run kickoff and weekly strategy calls directly with client founders and heads of growth
- Build ICP maps reverse-engineered from closed-won deals and call transcripts into tiered, verified target lists
- Stand up outbound infrastructure and orchestrate inbound content and mid-funnel signal plays
- Turn what works into repeatable templates and playbooks, helping productize the service itself
- Help shape a brand-new business line: its offering, pricing, tooling, and eventually its team
**What you must bring**
- Experience running something of your own, an agency, a business, or a side hustle with real, paying customers, ideally acquired through marketing you personally built and executed
- Client-facing experience from consulting, agency work, founding GTM, or forward-deployed roles, where you were personally accountable to a customer for a real outcome
- Hands-on fluency with modern GTM and AI tooling (Clay, Instantly, n8n, Claude Code, or similar), including comfort with APIs and light coding to connect systems yourself
- Clear, confident communication — you can translate GTM strategy for founders and take feedback in real time
- Genuine comfort in fast, ambiguous environments where you're expected to write the playbook, not follow one
**Nice to have**
- A specific, attributable contribution to revenue you can point to directly
- Creative instincts on inbound work, with your own original ideas rather than only executing others'
**Compensation & logistics**
- $140K–$180K base salary plus competitive equity
- On-site at either the San Francisco or New York City office
- 6 openings
- Not open to any visa sponsorship — candidates must already be authorized to work in the US
**This isn't the right fit if**
- You've only ever worked behind an internal team with no client-facing or externally accountable experience
- Your background is strategy-only with no evidence of systems you've personally built, connected, or shipped
- You need a defined playbook and structured environment — this work is ambiguous and self-directed by design
- Your work history shows multiple consecutive roles lasting under six months
