Senior Software Engineer

Our client is building an AI assistant that customers reach by phone, text, chat, or email, with licensed professionals reviewing every high-impact decision. The Senior Software Engineer will own product features end to end, from backend data architecture to the screens customers see, and will turn the agent workflows built by the AI engineering team into a reliable, polished product that people trust with sensitive financial matters.

This is a high-ownership role on a small team. The engineer will help define architecture as the product and customer base grow, work closely with AI engineers and in-house professionals, and be expected to ship quickly and iterate rather than wait for a perfect specification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own features end to end. Design, build, and operate fullstack features in TypeScript, Node.js, and React, from data model through user interface.
• Shape the backend. Help define services, data pipelines, and event-driven flows as the product and customer base scale.
• Integrate AI into the product. Partner with AI engineers to put agent workflows into dependable, polished user experiences.
• Build for a regulated domain. Handle sensitive financial data with auditability and access controls designed in from the start.
• Contribute to architecture. Participate in technical decisions on distributed systems and microservices, and help set standards for the engineering team.
• Build AI-native. Use AI coding tools daily and help define how the team builds software with them.
• Ship and learn. Deliver iteratively in a fast-moving startup environment, balancing speed with reliability and quality.
