Location: Goleta, CA
Job Type: Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.42/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a Distribution Control Associate to support shipping, receiving, stockroom, and inventory operations at our Goleta, California location.

This role is ideal for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or stockroom environment. The successful candidate will handle incoming shipments, stock materials, support outbound shipping, perform inventory transactions, and assist internal customers.

The position requires regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and use of material-handling equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.

SAP experience is preferred, but candidates with strong computer skills who are willing to learn SAP will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing lists.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for visible damage and properly process materials for receiving inspection.
  • Communicate shipment concerns or discrepancies to Purchasing, Receiving Inspection, management, and customers.
  • Receive materials from Receiving Inspection and the production floor.
  • Inspect, label, and store materials in their proper locations.
  • Perform accurate inventory transactions in the SAP system.
  • Pick kits and replenish Kanbans and other stockroom inventory.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Support internal customers and assist with inventory-related problem solving.
  • Assist with shipping products to external customers.
  • Pull products from finished goods and inventory for shipment.
  • Package products according to shipping and packaging instructions.
  • Complete required shipping and inventory transactions in SAP.
  • Follow established procedures, work instructions, and quality requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
  • Perform other distribution and stockroom duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills required.
  • SAP experience is preferred; ability to learn SAP is required.
  • Ability to accurately count inventory and complete paperwork.
  • Ability to follow written procedures and instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to recognize when assistance or clarification is needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and perform physical stockroom activities.
  • Knowledge of medical device quality systems and standards such as FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, or ISO 9001 is preferred.

  • Lift and carry packages up to 40 lbs.

Work Environment

  • 100% on-site in Goleta, California
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
  • Primarily shipping, receiving, and stockroom operations.
  • One on-site interview is required.

Compensation

$20.42 per hour
