Smart Learn Tutoring LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Systems Administrator to oversee the organization’s technology infrastructure and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT operations. The Systems Administrator will manage servers, cloud services, user accounts, network systems, cybersecurity measures, and provide technical support to employees. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the technology that supports our remote workforce and virtual tutoring services.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and monitor Windows and cloud-based systems.
- Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, email services, user permissions, and security policies.
- Administer Active Directory, user authentication, and password management.
- Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and software installations.
- Configure and maintain network devices, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless connectivity.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices to protect company data.
- Perform routine system backups and disaster recovery testing.
- Troubleshoot server, network, and operating system issues.
- Maintain hardware inventory and software licensing records.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees by creating and disabling user accounts.
- Support remote employees with secure access to company systems.
- Maintain technical documentation, policies, and system procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT Support Specialist and other IT team members on technology projects.
- Recommend improvements to enhance security, reliability, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of systems administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and endpoint protection.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Must reside in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- CompTIA Server+, Network+, or Security+ certification.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with remote device management tools.
