Key Role Information
Our client is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead and oversee audit and review engagements for a diverse portfolio of for-profit and nonprofit clients. This individual will play a critical leadership role within the firm’s Audit & Assurance practice, working closely with the Audit Partner while managing engagement teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced public accounting professional with strong technical audit expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to independently manage engagements from planning through completion.

Responsibilities
Audit & Assurance Leadership
Lead audit and review engagements from planning through completion
Oversee audits and reviews for both for-profit and nonprofit organizations
Ensure engagements are completed in accordance with professional standards and firm methodologies
Identify risks, issues, and opportunities throughout engagements
Maintain high standards of quality and compliance
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise, mentor, and develop senior and junior audit staff
Review workpapers, financial statements, and engagement deliverables
Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members
Support staff development and performance improvement initiatives
Client Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for audit clients
Build and maintain long-term client relationships
Address client questions and concerns in a timely manner
Ensure exceptional client service throughout engagements
Practice Management
Collaborate with the Audit Partner on engagement planning and scheduling
Monitor budgets, timelines, and engagement progress
Assist with practice improvement initiatives
Support firm growth and operational objectives as needed
Qualifications
6-10+ years of public accounting audit experience
Prior Audit Manager experience required
Minimum 3 years holding an Audit Manager title at current firm
Strong experience with both for-profit and nonprofit audits
Active CPA license required
Proven ability to independently manage audit engagements
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent client-facing communication skills
Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge
Stable employment history preferred
