Rental Fleet & Warehouse Manager


Position Summary


The Rental Fleet & Warehouse Manager is responsible for preparing, maintaining, renting, and tracking company vehicles, trailers, camping equipment, and warehouse inventory. This position ensures every rental is clean, safe, fully equipped, and ready for delivery while maintaining an organized warehouse and supporting business operations.


Primary Responsibilities


Rental Fleet Management


  • Coordinate reservations and rental schedules.
  • Prepare vehicles and trailers before each rental.
  • Inspect rentals before departure and upon return.
  • Document damage with photos and reports.
  • Track mileage, fuel, maintenance, and cleaning.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Coordinate customer pickup and delivery when required.
  • Demonstrate equipment operation to customers.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is present and functional.


Warehouse Management


  • Organize warehouse inventory.
  • Maintain storage areas for camping equipment and rental accessories.
  • Track inventory using spreadsheets or inventory software.
  • Receive and inspect deliveries.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Prepare rental packages including:


  • Tents
  • Sleeping bags
  • Propane heaters
  • Cooking equipment
  • Chairs
  • Tables
  • Other rental accessories


Customer Service


  • Welcome customers professionally.
  • Review rental agreements.
  • Explain operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Answer questions before and after rentals.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.


Administrative Duties


  • Maintain rental records.
  • Track inventory levels.
  • Recommend equipment purchases.
  • Prepare weekly reports on:


  • Rentals
  • Revenue
  • Maintenance
  • Inventory shortages
  • Assist with marketing photos and online listings.


Qualifications


  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • Experience towing trailers preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Self-motivated and dependable.


Preferred Experience


  • RV or equipment rental
  • Warehouse management
  • Inventory control
  • Light mechanical repair
  • Outdoor recreation or camping experience
  • Trailer towing experience


Physical Requirements


  • Frequent lifting of 50–75 lbs.
  • Standing and walking throughout the day.
  • Working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Climbing ladders and entering trailers or vans for inspections.


Performance Expectations


  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse.
  • Prepare all rentals on schedule.
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Protect company assets by ensuring safe and secure storage.
