The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Full Stack Engineer to take the reins in building our groundbreaking telehealth platform from the ground up. This isn't just a development role; it's a leadership position where you will define our technical architecture, implement core systems, and set the standard for engineering excellence. What You'll Do:

●      Architect & Build: Lead the design, development, and deployment of Beti Health's core telehealth platform, covering both frontend and backend systems.

●      Backend Mastery: Develop robust, scalable, and secure backend services, including API development, data management, and business logic.

●      Frontend Expertise: Build highly responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern frameworks (e.g., React.js strongly preferred), ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for both patients and providers.

●      Real-time Communication: Design and implement robust solutions for extensive real-time video conferencing, chat, and notification features crucial for telehealth delivery (integrating WebRTC, third-party video APIs, etc.).

●      Data & AI/ML Integration: Work with relational databases for secure patient data management. Lay the groundwork and integrate initial AI/ML models to enhance diagnostic capabilities and support clinical decision-making.

●      Scalability & Performance: Ensure the platform is built for high availability, performance, and scalability to support a growing user base and handle extensive video traffic.

●      Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for data security, privacy (HIPAA compliance is critical), and regulatory adherence throughout the development lifecycle.

●      DevOps & Infrastructure: Collaborate on setting up and managing cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging to ensure smooth operations.

●      Technical Leadership: Drive technical discussions, establish coding standards, perform code reviews, and mentor future engineering hires.

●      Problem-Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges, identify bottlenecks, and propose innovative solutions to meet product requirements.

What We're Looking For:

●     Experience:

o   Master’s degree in computer science (or related field) with 3+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.

o   OR bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) with 5+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.

●     API Design: Experience designing and building robust RESTful APIs.

●     AI/ML Familiarity: Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience integrating AI/ML models into production applications.

●     Problem Solver & Adaptable: A highly analytical, pragmatic approach to problem-solving, with the ability to break down complex issues, pivot quickly, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

●     Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively.

●     Excellent Leadership: You will be designing the product and leading a team. We need strong leadership skills.

Bonus Points If You Have:

●     Prior experience working in a startup environment, demonstrating an understanding of the unique challenges and demands.

●     Prior experience in the healthcare or telehealth industry, with an understanding of healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HIPAA).
