ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a passionate and dedicated California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide school-based mental and behavioral health services to K–12 students in Antioch, CA.

This is an excellent opportunity for an LMFT who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative school environment.

The LMFT will partner with students, families, educators, school psychologists, counselors, special education teams, administrators, and other professionals to support students' social-emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs.

🔹 Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling and therapeutic services to students

• Conduct mental health assessments and identify social-emotional and behavioral needs

• Develop appropriate treatment goals and intervention plans

• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessment, and referrals when needed

• Support students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, family concerns, social difficulties, and other mental health needs

• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support student progress

• Consult with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, counselors, and other school personnel

• Participate in IEP, SST, 504, multidisciplinary team, and other student-support meetings as appropriate

• Provide services consistent with students' IEPs or other educational plans when assigned

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress notes, and service records

• Assist school teams with behavioral and social-emotional interventions

• Provide mental health education and consultation to staff and families when appropriate

• Follow district policies, mandated-reporting requirements, confidentiality standards, and applicable California professional requirements

✅ Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field meeting California licensure requirements

• Current, active California LMFT license through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS)

• Experience providing counseling or behavioral health services to children and/or adolescents

• Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health, family systems, trauma-informed practices, and evidence-based interventions

• Strong collaboration, communication, and documentation skills

• Ability to meet California school district onboarding requirements, including background screening, fingerprinting, TB clearance, and other applicable requirements

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a California K–12 school setting

• Experience supporting students receiving special education services

• Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, IEP processes, MTSS, PBIS, and school-based mental health programs

• Experience participating in multidisciplinary assessments and student-support teams

• Experience with crisis intervention and suicide-risk assessment protocols

• Bilingual skills are highly desirable
