Location: Bellevue Milk Plant
Job Type: Temporary-to-Permanent
Contract Duration: 90 Days Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: Up to $34.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Worker III to join our dairy production team at the Bellevue Milk Plant.

This position is initially a 90-day temporary-to-permanent opportunity. Candidates who are hired permanently will be required to join the onsite union.

The ideal candidate will have experience operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment and a strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, production procedures, and workplace safety.

Pay

  • Up to $34.00/hour – Candidates with a valid Pasteurizer's License
  • Up to $30.00/hour – Candidates without a Pasteurizer's License

Pay will be based on qualifications, experience, and applicable requirements.

Schedule

Swing Shift

  • 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
  • Monday – Friday

Grave Shift

  • 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Sunday – Thursday

Overtime: Candidates must be flexible and willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Closely monitor the dairy production process and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for batching and processing products.
  • Monitor fats, total solids, allergens, and other product-related specifications during dairy processing.
  • Operate and clean production equipment efficiently to maximize throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain equipment sanitation, including CIP (Clean-in-Place) and hand-cleaning procedures.
  • Analyze process and equipment performance data to improve quality, production efficiency, and troubleshooting.
  • Communicate with other departments, management, and employees regarding production issues or concerns.
  • Document required production information in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain responsibility for food safety, food quality, and prerequisite programs within the designated production area.
  • Immediately report food safety and quality concerns to management.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and demonstrate a safety-first mindset.
  • Follow and maintain 5S standards within the work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous dairy production, pasteurization, or food manufacturing experience.
  • Candidates with a Pasteurizer's License: Minimum 6–12 months of experience operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment.
  • Candidates without a Pasteurizer's License: Minimum 12 months of experience operating pasteurization or dairy processing equipment.
  • Ability to accurately follow recipes, measurements, and production instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures, GMP standards, and company policies.
  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime when needed.
