Salesforce Architect

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead the design and implementation of an enterprise Salesforce solution for a client in the financial services domain. The role involves architecting end-to-end integrations between Salesforce and cloud-based data platforms, enabling intelligent, data-driven sales workflows. The ideal candidate combines deep Salesforce platform expertise with strong experience in cloud data integration and AI/ML-driven solutions.Key Responsibilities • Define the overall Salesforce solution architecture, including data model, security model, and integration strategy • Architect and oversee integrations between Salesforce and AWS cloud services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.) using APIs, middleware, or event-driven patterns • Design scalable data ingestion and staging pipelines that bring external data into Salesforce in a governed, reliable manner • Enable AI/ML and NLP model outputs to be surfaced within Salesforce as actionable records (e.g., leads, opportunities, recommendations) for sales teams • Design and optimize Sales Cloud processes including opportunity management, lead routing, assignment rules, and sales rep workflows • Establish best practices for data quality, deduplication, and synchronization between external systems and Salesforce • Lead technical design sessions, produce architecture documentation, and present solutions to business and IT stakeholders • Guide and mentor Salesforce developers and administrators; conduct design and code reviews • Ensure solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements applicable to financial institutions • Support release management, environment strategy, and CI/CD practices for the Salesforce orgRequired Qualifications • 8+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years in Salesforce architecture, design, and implementation • Strong hands-on expertise with Sales Cloud, including opportunity lifecycle, pipeline management, and automation (Flows, Apex, LWC) • Proven experience integrating Salesforce with AWS services (S3, Lambda, EventBridge, AppFlow, or similar) via REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, or middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, etc.) • Solid understanding of data architecture concepts: staging, ETL/ELT, batch and near-real-time ingestion patterns • Experience surfacing AI/ML or NLP-driven insights within Salesforce (Einstein, custom model integration, or third-party AI services) • Strong knowledge of Salesforce security, sharing model, and governance frameworks • Experience working in regulated industries (banking, credit unions, insurance, or financial services preferred) • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical designsPreferred Qualifications • Salesforce certifications: Application Architect, System Architect, Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture and Management Designer, or Certified Technical Architect (CTA) • Experience with Financial Services Cloud • Familiarity with Python-based data pipelines, Snowflake, or other cloud data warehouses • Experience with Einstein AI, Agentforce, or embedding external ML model results into CRM workflows • Knowledge of compliance frameworks relevant to financial institutions (e.g., GLBA, NCUA guidelines)
