Today we are hiring a Locum Nurse Practitioner for a Correction Facility in Galveston, TX.

This role offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to incarcerated individuals in a structured clinical setting. You will manage acute and chronic conditions, work closely with healthcare and facility staff, and contribute to quality patient care in a correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities

● Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations

● Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

● Provide sick-call coverage and same-day medical evaluations

● Develop and monitor treatment plans

● Educate patients regarding medications, disease management, and preventive healthcare

● Maintain accurate documentation within the NextGen EMR system

● Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff to ensure quality patient care

Schedule and Shift Details

•  4-day work week, day shift, no weekends, standard holiday schedule

• Travel

• Travel stipend provided for providers traveling more than 50 miles from primary residence

• Locum (40 hrs/week)

• $70.00 per hour
