Sr .NET developer Architect

Responsibilities:

• Lead the modernization of .NET 4.8 WCF services into microservices architecture.

• Define target state architecture for migrating WCF services to .NET 10.

• Convert existing VB.NET code into C# as part of the modernization effort.

• Design and implement transitions from WCF to CoreWCF, and later to REST/gRPC services.

• Incorporate Azure cloud-native solutions for horizontal scaling, including AKS and Service Bus.

• Guide DevOps in establishing ephemeral environments using Infrastructure as Code.

• Collaborate with Client Architect and technical teams to align on architecture.

• Implement Redis Cache for managing ephemeral data effectively.

• Mentor the team on AI-led development practices, including the use of GitHub Copilot.

• Design API-based architecture utilizing open specifications and tools like API Gateway.

• Review existing solution architecture to identify modernization opportunities.

• Support tech leads by providing insights on current architecture and code.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with AI-led application modernization using GitHub Copilot or similar tools.

• Over 15 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in architecting modern applications.

• Expertise in cloud-native application architecture and migrating monolithic apps to microservices.

• Experience with brownfield applications and their modernization challenges.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud architect certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Experience with containerized applications on Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, or ECS.

• Familiarity with gRPC and AsyncAPIs for service communication.
