Cytotechnologist (Travel Contract)
Location: Glenwood Springs, CO
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Monday–Friday | 5 × 8-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 38 Hours/Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Colorado. The ideal candidate will perform cytology screening of Pap and non-GYN specimens, assist with molecular testing, specimen grossing, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation while ensuring high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Screen and evaluate Pap and non-GYN cytology slides.
Perform cytology specimen processing, preparation, and staining.
Conduct molecular testing on Pap vial specimens.
Assist with specimen grossing as required.
Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC EMR.
Screen an average of 60–80 slides per day while maintaining quality standards.
Ensure diagnostic accuracy in accordance with CAP guidelines.
Assist with specimen collection as needed.
Follow all laboratory safety, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
Graduate of an ABHES-accredited Cytotechnology program or another HHS-approved cytotechnology program.
CT (ASCP) Certification required.
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of recent Cytotechnologist experience.
Strong knowledge of cytology laboratory procedures and slide interpretation.
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
Active state license required.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the work location to qualify as a traveler.
No holiday or on-call coverage required.
