About Space United

Space United is the world's first space-driven soccer club, founded by the Tobacia Brothers — Latino athletes turned space engineers from SpaceX and Blue Origin. Our mission is to connect billions of global sports fans to the future of space exploration and make it feel relevant, exciting, and within reach. Space United Academy is our youth program, blending competitive soccer training with hands-on space and STEM missions. Our first flagship Academy location — the Launchpad at E90 in Tukwila, WA — opens this fall.

The Role

You are the face of Space United Academy at E90 — the person every family knows by name. Your mission is simple to state and demanding to deliver: bring the Academy to profitability through sales and operational excellence. You own enrollment growth from our founding class of ~50 kids toward 200+, you own the member experience that keeps families for years, and you run the daily operation — the Launchpad, the training schedule, and the part-time team — like a launch director runs a countdown.

What You'll Own

•    Enrollment sales — Tours, trials, and follow-up that convert families into members; waitlist management; hitting the 50-kid founding-class benchmark, then monthly growth targets.

•    The P&L — Revenue, staffing hours, and cost discipline. You manage the Academy's monthly financials with the founders and are accountable for the path to profitability.

•    Operations — Daily open/close, session scheduling, the booking system, safety standards, and facility readiness — the Launchpad should feel mission-ready every single day.

•    Member experience & retention — Proactive parent communication, progress updates, showcase nights, and churn prevention. Retention is worth more than acquisition, and it's yours.

•    Launchpad utilization — Fill non-peak hours with birthday parties, school-break camps, and school field trips — high-margin revenue on capacity we already pay for.

•    The team — Recruit, train, schedule, and develop our part-time Academy Specialists and coaches.

•    Community & partnerships — Be our day-to-day partner to E90, local schools, and youth clubs; support the founders on sponsorships and coordinate scholarship enrollments funded through our Goal for Launch! foundation.

Schedule & Time Commitment

Part-time, approximately 26 hours per week during the pilot, designed to grow into a full-time role as the Academy scales. Our families are here on weekday evenings and Saturdays, so you are too:

•    Monday–Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Launchpad programs run 5:00–8:00 PM; the first hour is for sales calls, tours, and operations).

•    Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Launchpad hours 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM — our flagship family day).

•    Sundays off, with occasional flexibility for camps, showcase nights, and community events.

What You Bring

•    3+ years in membership sales and/or operations — youth enrichment, sports academy, fitness, swim school, or education — with a track record of hitting enrollment or revenue targets.

•    Experience leading part-time or hourly teams; comfort with CRM and booking software.

•    A genuine presence with kids and parents alike — warm, organized, and trusted.

•    Passion for youth development; love of soccer, space, or (ideally) both.

•    Spanish or other languages spoken in the Tukwila community are a strong plus.

Compensation

$28–$34 per hour depending on experience, plus a performance incentive of up to $6,000/year tied to enrollment and retention milestones. This role is built to grow: as the Academy scales, so do the hours, the scope, and the compensation — with a founding-team conversation available for the right candidate. Free Academy membership for your kids.

How to Apply

Send a short note about why this role is for you (no formal cover letter needed) and your resume to [email protected]. We review applications on a rolling basis and would love to have you on the crew before opening day.

Space United is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects the community we serve. All offers are contingent on a Washington State background check; CPR/First Aid certification is provided if you don't already hold it.
