Job description

Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

Rooted Family Care | Northwest Arkansas

Full-Time | Compensation Commensurate with Experience

About Rooted Family Care

We are an independent, relationship-centered primary care practice committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based medicine with a whole-person approach to health. We value long-term patient relationships, thoughtful clinical decision-making, and collaboration among providers and staff.

Our practice is built around a close-knit team where kindness, mutual respect, and a healthy work-life balance are priorities. We believe healthcare professionals should have the support and flexibility to provide excellent care while maintaining fulfilling lives outside the clinic.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate, clinically confident Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team and assume an established patient panel.

This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive family medicine across all ages, from newborns through adulthood, with a large pediatric population.

Our ideal candidate enjoys building lasting relationships with patients, values an evidence-based, integrative approach to whole-person care, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment.

What makes this opportunity different:

  • An established patient panel ready for transition

  • A manageable schedule averaging 15–18 patients per day

  • A dedicated medical assistant for each provider

  • A collaborative environment with accessible physician consultation and support

  • No weekend hours or on-call responsibilities

  • Friday afternoons off

  • A practice culture that values patient relationships over maximizing appointment volume

  • Leadership committed to supporting a healthy work-life balance

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across the lifespan, including newborns, children, adolescents, and adults

  • Conduct wellness examinations, preventive screenings, and acute care visits

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions

  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans incorporating whole-person health principles

  • Educate patients and families to support informed, shared medical decision-making

  • Coordinate care with physicians, clinical staff, and outside specialists

  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and appropriate follow-up

  • Contribute to a supportive, respectful, team-oriented clinical environment

Qualifications

  • Current or eligible Arkansas APRN licensure

  • Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

  • Previous outpatient primary care experience preferred

  • Clinical competence and confidence in caring for pediatric and adult patients

  • Commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care

  • Clinical interest in integrative medicine or willingness to learn

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical decision-making skills

  • A compassionate, gentle approach to patient care

  • Willingness to collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other team members

New graduates may be considered; however, candidates with experience independently managing an outpatient primary care panel are strongly preferred.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time salaried position with compensation commensurate with experience. Additional compensation tied to quality metrics and production bonuses is available.

Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, with patient appointments beginning at 8:00 AM and the last appointments scheduled at 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Fridays are half days, with no afternoon clinic hours.

There are no weekend or on-call responsibilities. Alternative schedule arrangements may be considered.

Benefits

  • Health insurance

  • Dental insurance

  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching, subject to plan eligibility

  • Paid vacation and sick leave

  • Paid federal holidays

  • Employer-paid malpractice insurance

  • Employer-paid professional licensing

  • Dedicated clinical support and scheduled administrative time
