Now Hiring: Mainframe Modernization Engineer – zDevOps & Git Transformation 🚨

📍 Location: Remote (USA)

💼 Employment Type: C2C / W2

💰 Rate: $60/hr

🛂 Work Authorization: U.S. Citizens Only

📅 Experience Required: 5+ Years

Our direct client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Modernization Engineer to support enterprise zDevOps and Git Transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale Mainframe modernization projects focused on DevOps, Git migration, and CI/CD implementation.

Required Skills:

✔️ 5+ years of Mainframe application development and modernization experience

✔️ Strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and REXX

✔️ Hands-on experience with CA Endevor or similar Mainframe SCM tools

✔️ Experience with Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket

✔️ Strong understanding of zDevOps, CI/CD, Agile, and Source Code Management

✔️ Experience supporting Endevor-to-Git migration initiatives

✔️ Python scripting for automation and tooling development

✔️ Familiarity with Zowe CLI, USS, IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz), and VS Code for Z

✔️ Experience with build automation, deployment automation, release management, and production support

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Develop and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2

✅ Participate in Mainframe Modernization and zDevOps transformation programs

✅ Support Endevor-to-Git migration, validation, and post-migration activities

✅ Design and implement automation for build, testing, deployment, and migration processes

✅ Collaborate with DevOps, Development, Infrastructure, and Release Management teams

✅ Implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines for Mainframe applications

✅ Perform unit, integration, and system testing, along with production deployments

✅ Prepare technical documentation, migration guides, and operational procedures
