Position Overview
We're looking for a Strength Coach to design and deliver athletic development programming for individual athletes and team groups. This role blends hands-on coaching with programming, athlete evaluation, and performance tracking, working within TNT's established training systems and standards.
Responsibilities
Coach strength, speed, and conditioning sessions for individual athletes and team groups across various age levels
Design and implement multi-week training programs (e.g., 8–15 week blocks) tailored to sport, position, and athlete needs
Assess athlete performance benchmarks and adjust programming based on results
Teach and reinforce proper lifting technique and movement mechanics, with attention to injury prevention and safe progression
Track athlete performance data and communicate progress to athletes, parents, and/or team coaches as needed
Maintain a safe, organized, and motivating training environment
Represent TNT Training's coaching standards and culture at all client sites
Qualifications
Certification in strength & conditioning (CSCS, USAW, NSCA-CPT, or equivalent) preferred
Prior experience coaching athletes in a team or individual training setting
Playing experience in football or another competitive sport is a plus
Strong communication skills — comfortable working with athletes, parents, and coaching staff
Reliable transportation for travel between NJ training sites
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
