💰 Compensation: $120K–$180K base + competitive equity

About the role

We're looking for a Founding Engineer with a track record of taking products from 0 to 1 and shipping features that reached real users.

This is an opportunity to join early, help define the technical foundation of the company, and own critical engineering initiatives from architecture through production. You'll work closely with leadership, move quickly, and have meaningful influence over both product and technical direction.

What you'll do

• Build and deploy AI-powered automation systems that eliminate manual operational workflows

• Design, develop, and own production systems end to end

• Consolidate and modernize core platform architecture

• Build scalable backend services and automation pipelines

• Improve CI/CD processes to increase engineering velocity and platform reliability

• Partner directly with operations and product teams to translate complex workflows into software solutions

• Help shape engineering culture, technical standards, and long-term architecture

What we're looking for (must-haves)

• 3–6+ years of software engineering experience

• Proven experience shipping products from 0 to 1 with real user adoption

• Strong backend engineering skills and production ownership

• Experience designing and building scalable systems from concept to deployment

• Comfortable working across the stack when needed

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to thrive in ambiguity

• Founder mentality with a bias toward action and ownership

• Able to work hybrid in New York City (3 days/week)

• U.S. work authorization required (no visa sponsorship)

Nice to have

• Startup or founding engineering experience

• Experience building AI-powered products or automation platforms

• Financial services or fintech experience

• Experience working closely with operations teams to automate business processes

• Background building internal tools or workflow automation systems
