Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director of Vascular Surgery to lead a growing vascular surgery program in Daytona Beach, Florida. This physician leader will provide exceptional clinical care while overseeing the strategic, operational, and quality initiatives of the vascular surgery service line. The Medical Director will collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes, improve program performance, and support continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with vascular diseases and disorders.
Perform open and endovascular procedures, including aneurysm repair, carotid interventions, peripheral arterial disease treatment, dialysis access, and venous procedures.
Lead and oversee the vascular surgery program, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care.
Develop and implement clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and best practices.
Collaborate with hospital administration, referring physicians, cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and other specialists.
Mentor and support physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical staff.
Participate in strategic planning, program development, and physician recruitment.
Monitor quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
Participate in shared call coverage.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Completion of an accredited General Surgery Residency.
Fellowship training in Vascular Surgery.
Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
Current DEA registration.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical vascular surgery experience, with prior leadership experience preferred.
Excellent clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Schedule
Full-Time
Monday–Friday
Combination of clinic, operating room, and hospital responsibilities.
Shared call rotation.
