About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on CTO Co-Founder to lead technology, product architecture, and engineering execution for a funded, early-stage AI healthcare payments startup.
This is a true builder role—not an advisory position. You'll own the technical vision, develop the initial product from the ground up, recruit the founding engineering team, and help scale the company from MVP to a commercial platform.
Our mission is to transform healthcare financial operations using AI, workflow automation, and secure infrastructure to simplify claims, payments, revenue cycle management, and administrative processes.
What You'll Do
- Own the company's technology vision, architecture, and engineering roadmap.
- Design, build, and launch the initial product from concept to production.
- Select and implement the technology stack.
- Build secure, scalable systems for healthcare payment and revenue cycle workflows.
- Develop AI-powered workflow automation and intelligent decisioning capabilities.
- Lead integrations with healthcare, claims, billing, payment, and data platforms.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead the founding engineering team.
- Partner closely with the CEO, investors, advisors, and early customers.
- Drive product strategy while balancing speed, scalability, and security.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building products from 0-to-1, from MVP through production.
- Strong software architecture and hands-on coding experience.
- Experience designing secure, scalable distributed systems.
- Proven ability to hire, build, and lead engineering teams.
- Strong product mindset with experience working directly with customers and business stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Former founder or early-stage technical leader.
- Experience with AI/ML-powered products or workflow automation platforms.
- Healthcare payments, revenue cycle management, claims, or FinTech experience.
- Experience in highly regulated, transaction-heavy industries.
- Graduate of a top-tier university (examples include Penn, Columbia, UChicago, or similar).
