Job description

Architect Health

Location: Remote (US-based, with travel to clients and conferences)

Role type: Full-time, individual contributor (founding GTM leader)

About Architect Health

Architect Health is an AI-powered vendor management and procurement platform built for health plans and self-funded employers. We help payer, employer, and broker organizations source, contract, and manage digital health and services vendors with speed, transparency, and measurable ROI.

You will be the first dedicated growth leader, working directly with the CEO to build and execute our go-to-market motion.

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced health plan and employer sales leader to own GTM and enterprise sales for Architect Health across health plans, self-funded employers, and benefits brokers/consultants. You will act as a senior individual contributor who can both develop strategy and personally carry opportunities from first conversation through contracting and launch. This role is ideal for someone who has sold complex, multi-stakeholder healthcare solutions and wants to be the tip of the spear at an early-stage company.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

Key Responsibilities

  • Own top-of-funnel through close for net-new logos across:

    • Health plans (Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial, MCOs, ASOs)

    • Self-funded employers and coalitions

    • Benefits brokers, consultants, and reseller partners.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Design and execute the GTM strategy for these segments, including ICP definition, territory plans, and pipeline targets, while remaining a hands-on seller with a personal quota.

  • Build and manage a robust pipeline via outbound, conferences, association partnerships, warm networks, and digital channels; report on pipeline health and forecast to the CEO and investors.

  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles: stakeholder mapping, problem/ROI discovery, solution positioning, executive presentations, economic justification, and closing.

  • Navigate RFPs and procurement processes with health plans and large employers, including drafting responses, coordinating internal inputs, and negotiating commercial terms and contracts.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Translate Architect Health’s product capabilities into compelling value propositions for:

    • Health plan vendor management, SDOH and HRSN programs, care management, and digital health networks.

    • Employer HR/benefits teams seeking to rationalize point solutions and improve benefits ROI.

    • Brokers/consultants seeking differentiated offerings and scalable vendor oversight.

  • Build and own executive relationships with payer, employer, and broker leaders (e.g., Chief Medical Officers, Chief Growth Officers, VPs of Network, Vendor Management, Population Health, and Benefits).

  • Partner with the CEO and product team to bring structured market feedback from prospects and clients, shaping roadmap, pricing, and packaging.

  • Create and deliver thought leadership: webinars, conference talks, trade association collaborations, case studies, and content that positions Architect Health as the category-defining vendor management platform.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Establish early GTM infrastructure: refine messaging, sales collateral, CRM hygiene, stages, metrics, and repeatable playbooks that can scale as the team grows.

  • Represent Architect Health in diligence conversations with investors and strategic partners, articulating pipeline, deal economics, and market opportunity.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

What Success Looks Like (First 12–18 Months)

  • Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of target health plans, self-funded employers, and brokers with clear next steps and executive sponsorship.

  • Close multiple six- and seven-figure annual contract value (ACV) deals with health plans and/or large employers, with clear expansion pathways across lines of business and geographies.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Establish at least 2–3 strategic channel or association relationships (e.g., MCO associations, employer coalitions, broker networks) that consistently generate qualified opportunities.

  • Create repeatable sales narratives and materials tailored to payers, employers, and brokers, including ROI stories and use cases (e.g., 1115 waivers, SDOH/HRSN programs, vendor consolidation).

  • Partner with the CEO to define and hit quarterly and annual new ACV targets that meaningfully move Architect Health’s revenue and valuation.

Ideal Experience

We are looking for profiles similar to senior growth leaders who have sold complex healthcare solutions into payers and employers and have personally closed large ACV deals.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • 7+ years of enterprise sales experience in healthcare, with a focus on:

    • Health plans (Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, Commercial, MCOs)

    • Self-funded employers and/or employer coalitions

    • Brokers/benefits consultants.

  • Demonstrated track record of sourcing, negotiating, and closing multi-million dollar ACV deals with payers and/or large employers, including RFP wins and board-level approvals.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Direct experience selling care management, SDOH/HRSN, digital health, population health, or AI/analytics solutions into payer organizations.

  • Comfort operating across clinical, financial, and operational stakeholders and translating technical or AI-enabled capabilities into business outcomes (cost of care, quality metrics, member experience, admin efficiency).

  • Experience building or significantly contributing to GTM strategy at a growth-stage or early-stage health tech company, preferably in a “first sales leader” or “founding AE” capacity.

  • Hands-on experience leading RFP responses, contracting, and procurement negotiations for health plans and large employers, including value-based structures when applicable.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Background working with or around:

    • 1115 waivers, Community Supports, and HRSN/SDOH programs

    • Population health and chronic disease programs

    • Vendor management, network development, or benefits design.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

Skills and Attributes

  • Builder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, limited resources, and wearing multiple hats as an individual contributor and de facto head of sales.

  • Executive presence: able to credibly engage C-suite and senior leadership at health plans, employers, and broker firms, and to represent Architect Health in public forums.[ppl-ai-file-upload.s3.amazonaws]

  • Strong understanding of payer economics, employer benefits strategies, and how digital/AI solutions drive ROI across cost, quality, and member/employee experience.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to craft compelling narratives, RFP responses, and board-ready business cases.

  • Data-driven operator who uses pipeline metrics, conversion rates, and deal economics to prioritize efforts and refine strategy.

  • Collaborative partner who works closely with product, operations, and customer success to ensure deals are set up for successful implementation and expansion.

Compensation and Reporting

  • Competitive base salary plus meaningful incentive compensation tied to new ACV and expansion.

  • Early equity ownership commensurate with experience and impact.

  • Reports directly to the CEO (Architect Health) with high visibility to the board and investors.
