Always On Energy is a NYSERDA-approved weatherization contractor serving income-eligible homeowners across Queens, Long Island, and the broader NYC metro area through the Empower+ program. We deliver whole-home energy upgrades — insulation, air sealing, health and safety improvements — funded through New York State at no cost to qualifying homeowners.

We are building our first in-house W2 weatherization crew and are looking for insulation installers. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a growing company that takes the work seriously.
Key Responsibilities:

Work independently or as part of a team to complete service calls in a timely manner.
Accurately document work performed, including materials used and services provided.
Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices through company-provided training.
Qualifications:
Preferred: 1+ years of experience in insulation or construction
Ability to work long hours, including occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in various weather conditions and tight spaces.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
Willingness to learn and participate in company training programs.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, with travel to residential job sites
What We’re Looking For
Required
3+ years of residential weatherization or insulation installation experience
Hands-on experience with dense pack cellulose, blown-in insulation, and air sealing
Familiarity with NYSERDA Empower+ program requirements and documentation
Blower door testing experience (pre and post)
Combustion safety testing knowledge (CO, CAZ, spillage)
ACP-5 lead paint compliance experience on occupied homes
Valid driver’s license with clean record
Physically capable of working in attics, crawlspaces, and confined spaces
Strong communication with homeowners and management
Strongly Preferred
BPI Building Analyst certification (or active candidate — we will support completion)
40-hour SST card (NYC Site Safety Training)
OSHA 10 or 30
Experience operating a company vehicle and managing daily job logistics
Bilingual English/Spanish a significant plus given our service area
