Job description

Boutique & Retail Wholesale Sales Representative to expand our brand footprint across local retail channels. In this role, you will build relationships and drive product placement with independent boutique stores, craft breweries/taprooms, and outdoor or souvenir gift shops.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target independent boutiques, brewery gift shops, outdoor retailers, and local souvenir stores within assigned regional territories.

  • In-Person & Remote Pitching: Conduct field visits, deliver product samples, present line sheets, and articulate key product selling points to store owners and inventory managers.

  • Relationship Management: Build long-term, trust-based relationships with buyers to secure repeat wholesale orders and maximize shelf presence.

  • Trade Shows & Events: Represent the brand at regional trade shows, vendor markets, and local retail networking events.

  • Order Processing & Pipeline Tracking: Manage wholesale order placement, track sales activities, and maintain accurate customer records using CRM software.

  • Market Insights: Gather feedback on product performance, customer trends, and competitor offerings to inform inventory and product strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Sales Experience: 2+ years of proven B2B or wholesale sales experience, preferably targeting small retail businesses or regional accounts.

  • Industry Familiarity: Deep understanding of the buying cycles and merch operations of independent retail, craft beverage taprooms, or gift/outdoor shops.

  • Strong Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Self-Starter Mentality: High level of autonomy, strong time-management skills, and a result-driven approach to pipeline management.

  • Mobility: Willingness to travel locally/regionally for store visits and client meetings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience selling custom merchandise, apparel, accessories, or branded hardgoods.

  • Established network or contacts within local retail, gift shop, or craft brewery ecosystems.

  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and order platforms (e.g., Faire).
