Senior Business Analyst – Workday Benefits Integration Support 

Location:

Work Arrangement: Onsite / Local Candidates Only

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong Workday HCM, Benefits, Payroll, and ERP integration experience to support the stabilization and troubleshooting of integrations between Workday and external benefits providers.

This is a hands-on role for a professional who can trace issues across multiple systems, perform root-cause analysis, and drive complex integration issues through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Workday-to-benefits-provider integrations and exchanged data.

  • Trace employee lifecycle, benefits, payroll, and retirement transactions end-to-end.

  • Perform root-cause analysis across data, configuration, benefit plans, mappings, integration logic, timing, and provider processing.

  • Review integration files, logs, reports, Workday transactions, and provider responses.

  • Partner with Workday functional and technical teams, developers, Benefits SMEs, and external providers.

  • Document findings, business rules, data flows, and resolution recommendations.

  • Validate fixes and confirm corrected transactions produce expected results.

  • Develop and maintain end-to-end data flow diagrams.

  • Support production stabilization and resolution of complex integration issues.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting HCM/ERP implementations, stabilization, or complex integrations.

  • 3+ years of Workday experience, particularly with:

    • Workday HCM

    • Benefits

    • Payroll

    • Integrations

    • Employee lifecycle transactions

  • 3+ years of retirement/pension benefits administration experience, including eligibility rules, configuration, and contribution processing.

  • 3+ years supporting Workday or another large ERP during implementation, post-go-live stabilization, or production operations.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to investigate complex issues across multiple systems and identify the underlying root cause.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with benefits providers, retirement systems, pension administrators, insurance carriers, or payroll vendors.

  • Knowledge of APIs, web services, middleware, XML/JSON, flat files, and data transformation.

  • Experience supporting complex Workday integrations in production environments.

  • Experience creating and maintaining end-to-end data flow diagrams and integration documentation.
