About the Role
We are seeking an experienced M/E Engineer 3 to join our team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will lead increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities while supporting project planning, estimating, commissioning, and quality assurance throughout the construction lifecycle.
You will work closely with project teams, design professionals, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete increasingly complex mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
- Develop budgetary M/E estimates based on program requirements and schematic designs.
- Evaluate mechanical and electrical system options and provide value engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate mechanical and electrical scopes during the bidding process.
- Develop sequencing requirements for building systems to support project schedules.
- Review design documents and identify potential constructability or quality issues.
- Conduct field inspections to verify work complies with plans and specifications.
- Review and approve shop drawings before submission to the design team.
- Develop pre-functional checklists and functional testing procedures.
- Prepare and issue commissioning plans for approval.
- Verify deficiencies are corrected and submit commissioning documentation to project owners.
- Mentor junior engineers and team members.
- Develop tools and process improvements to enhance project execution.
- Support a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
- Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5+ years of construction and/or engineering experience.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (No visa sponsorship available).

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $109,573–$124,000 annually
