**About the company**

A well-capitalized, post-revenue enterprise software startup backed by top-tier venture funds, already working with Fortune 500 customers and generating real contract revenue. The company is going after a large, underserved gap in enterprise software: helping businesses know which customers to prioritize and what to do next after the sale. This is a small, elite founding team building a category-defining platform from the ground up.

**The role**

You'll own the end-to-end technical deployment of the company's AI-powered revenue platform into enterprise customer environments — acting as the bridge between messy, undocumented customer data warehouses and production-ready agent workflows. This is a foundational hire: you'll help shape not just the deployments themselves, but the tooling and validation frameworks the whole function runs on. The role is roughly 70–80% heads-down data work and 20–30% direct customer interaction, so it genuinely rewards people who like deep, detailed technical problem-solving as much as client conversations.

**What you'll do**

- Onboard new customers end-to-end: scope data access, explore undocumented warehouses, and map chaotic schemas onto real business concepts like churn, expansion, and ARR

- Build and validate the semantic/ontology layer, interviewing customer stakeholders, resolving conflicting business definitions, and encoding them into verified SQL queries

- Deploy platform workflows and agent pipelines into customer instances, then monitor them to ensure they deliver measurable revenue outcomes

- Manage 2–3 concurrent customer engagements, working directly with customer data and engineering teams

- Dogfood internal agent tooling and give the engineering team direct feedback on eval guardrails, validation frameworks, and the agent harness itself

**What you must bring**

- Experience owning end-to-end customer deployments in a technical role: data access, schema mapping, stakeholder management, and proving real value delivery

- A track record of shipping production data pipelines or systems independently — writing code, diagnosing issues, and deploying without hand-holding

- A BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative STEM field from a strong program

- Deep SQL and data warehouse fluency — genuinely comfortable navigating undocumented, legacy schemas and producing validated output independently

- Real, active use of AI coding tools, with experience building or customizing your own agent-driven workflows

- 2–5 years of experience as a forward deployed engineer, data scientist, or customer-facing software engineer

- Based in or willing to relocate to New York City, fully on-site five days a week

- Genuine comfort with detail-oriented, repetitive data verification work — this is the bulk of the role, not an occasional task

- The ability to defend a technical position under customer pushback, and to change your mind based on evidence, not just authority

**Nice to have**

- Early-stage startup experience (seed through Series B); a purely large-company background is only a fit when paired with real startup or founder experience

- A background as a forward deployed engineer, customer engineer, or solutions engineer at a data or AI-native company, an analytics engineer or data scientist who has moved into customer-facing delivery, or a consulting/PE/IB background paired with a genuine CS foundation and real engineering skills

**Compensation & logistics**

- $180K–$250K base salary plus competitive equity
