Talend Certified Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Talend Certified Analyst to join our client data engineering team in a fully REMOTE role. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in ETL/ELT, Talend, SQL, Airflow, data quality, production support, and data warehousing.

🔹 Core Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of ETL/ELT development, including design, mappings, transformations, scheduling, testing, deployment, and support.

• Translate business and data movement requirements into effective technical designs.

• Develop data extraction and transmission processes for external vendors and downstream systems.

• Develop test plans, perform unit testing, and maintain supporting technical documentation.

• Assess impacts to data warehouse structures, data flows, and information models resulting from business or technical changes.

• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions supporting business processes.

• Provide production support for enterprise data solutions and ETL workflows.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Conduct data quality analysis, identify anomalies, and recommend solutions for data quality management.

• Prepare effort estimates for software development, testing, and related technical activities.

• Monitor ETL workflows and streaming jobs across Talend, Airflow, and ESP environments.

• Investigate and resolve data load failures, performance issues, workflow failures, and data quality anomalies.

• Develop and maintain Talend ETL jobs and provide support for legacy SAP BODI workflows.

• Collaborate with data engineers to optimize pipeline performance and reliability.

• Implement data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and completeness checks.

• Partner with business analysts to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

• Support data audits, governance, and compliance initiatives.

• Manage and enhance Airflow DAGs, job orchestration, and scheduling.

• Ensure timely execution and monitoring of data workflows.

• Automate routine support activities and improve operational monitoring capabilities.

• Collaborate with business users, application teams, data engineers, and data architects to resolve issues and gather requirements.

• Maintain detailed documentation covering ETL processes, job schedules, operational procedures, and issue resolution.

• Contribute to knowledge bases and support documentation for recurring production issues.

• Participate in on-call and/or after-hours support as required.

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

🔹 Required / Preferred Qualifications

• Talend Certification strongly preferred/required.

• 12+ years of relevant experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, ETL, or data analysis.

• 12+ years of hands-on SQL development, preferably across multiple database platforms.

• Strong understanding of normalized relational databases and dimensional data warehouse implementations.

• Proficiency in ETL/ELT concepts and methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with Talend.

• Working knowledge or experience with SAP BODI.

• Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling.

• Exposure to Event Stream Processing (ESP) platforms and real-time data processing.

• Experience with Informatica IICS and/or PowerCenter is a plus.

• Familiarity with incident management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.

• Understanding of CI/CD practices and software development lifecycle processes.

• Experience with cloud-based database technologies.

• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL best practices, data integration, and data quality.

• Experience with query tools such as AQT, MS Query, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
