Responsibilities:
Analyze and monitor data loss prevention (DLP) systems to safeguard sensitive information from unauthorized access and breaches.
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive DLP policies and procedures to effectively mitigate risks associated with data breaches.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and recommend effective solutions to enhance data security.
Conduct regular audits and assessments of DLP systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
Utilize DLP tools such as Symantec DLP, McAfee Total Protection, or Digital Guardian to monitor and protect sensitive data.
Provide training and support to employees on data protection best practices, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Generate detailed reports on DLP incidents, trends, and compliance status for management review and decision-making.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of data loss prevention technologies, methodologies, and best practices in data security.
Proven experience in cybersecurity, IT compliance, or related fields, with a focus on data protection strategies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
Proficient in using DLP tools and technologies, with a solid grasp of data encryption and access control measures.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and compliance.
Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are preferred.
